When the time comes for a people to change their whole life and world, they must equally renew their minds, which push out to create, and their hearts, which pull in to appreciate. In renewing their minds they will form and express new thoughts. In renewing their hearts they will discover and experience new feelings. To express their new thoughts they must use old words in new ways, and then coin new words, and ultimately make whole new languages. To coalesce their new feelings they must hear old tones in new ways, and then listen for new tones, and ultimately receive whole new musics.

Writing and oration by those who discern the epochal change will offer new ways of speaking and thinking, and so enable the renewal of mind. New music by composers and singers who feel the epochal change will afford new ways of hearing and feeling, and so enable the renewal of heart. Those who project the new speech and those who coalesce the new music together may guide the breath of their people, from an old way that is closed and broken to a new way that is open and whole. When the new words are married to the new tones, a very potent force will pulse across the lands, seas and skies. Then people will know in their minds and feel in their hearts that the time for their great change has come...

When the tune runs deep in the words, and the words jump for joy on the tune, then heart and mind dance together, until the two things merge into one. When the two become one all struggle ends, and life in joy begins.
