All things in this universe, at all levels of scale, are sentient and self-directing. When a person denies his sovereignty, he understands and feels his movements to be caused and controlled by things of greater scale, such as his family, the weather, his employer and government. His denial of his sovereignty invites those greater entities to treat him as subordinate and dependent rather than free and self-determining, thus fulfilling and confirming his vision of his life. The smaller things within him – thoughts in his mind and cells in his body – no less than the larger things without him will likewise respond to his governing choice: holding him as weak, and bringing pain and limitation to his experience. Above and below, without and within, he directs his freedom to entrapment and his power to powerlessness. He turns his creativity to mediocrity and his vital spirit to morbidity. And all that is above him and all that is below him will faithfully serve him in his choices. And then it shall not be possible to disagree with him that he is powerless and trapped in a morbid life: until he changes in his sovereign choice. Then all that is above him and below him, and all that is without him and within him, shall change in what they give him according to his edict. Every electron is sovereign, every star is sovereign, and every person is sovereign: in darkness and in light.
