Separation brings doubt, confusion and loss by dividing the constituents of every thing. It reduces and weakens each one in all his thought and feeling, and scatters the integrity of the thing that all of them join to form. The organs of a body will fall into discord and weaken the person, much as discord among nations will weaken an entire race... Separation obscures common purpose at every level of life, dividing the intention and effort of its constituents. Convinced of their differences and doubtful of their commonality, their energy and will is not pooled for the success of what they form but rather divided to protect and advance each constituent self: regarded as separate and not as integral to the whole... Separation dooms to strife and lack each person, group, institution and country. Unity brings cooperation, confidence and contribution, which directly result in affluence and abundance. When leaders champion unity as a way of life, and people follow, things that stood apart are turned together and the gates of transmutation swing wide open. Then healing, joining and glorious flowering become life's stories. Disease gives way to vitality, war passes its torch to peace, and poverty for the many is succeeded by affluence for all.
