There is only one love, oceanic and all-pervading... Love returns
all of what is to the One that causes it to be. A people alive in unity
know and feel love in this way, because they know and feel the One
at the centre of who they are. But a people lost to separation cannot
know and feel love in this way, because they ignore and dismiss the
One within themselves.
In unity, love is experienced as the universal feeling. Love may be
localized in a subject for an object, yet overflow all containers to
encompass all that is. A mother who realizes God knows and feels God
within herself and her baby. The love of such a mother for her baby
is a personal celebration of the universal miracle: consciousness experiencing
the wholeness of its creation.
This love does not claim or strive, own or divide. Love never does
these things, nor indeed does love ever do anything. By its very nature
love does nothing and appreciates everything. This experience is not
available to those who have elected to live apart... In separation,
where fear reigns, one cannot truly conceive of love...
When a world passes from darkness to light, its people must change
profoundly in all their knowing and feeling of life. Each person who
elects to move into the gathering light and regain one love must change
in all her thought and emotion, reinvent all her relations, re-forge
her very conception of who and what she is.
