The natural design of all genetic systems is open. Open systems interact
with surrounding systems and are capable of changing themselves in
response to these interactions. The self-directed change of open systems
is inherently evolutionary, even under conditions of darkness...
In the relations of separation, change is often imposed on less sophisticated
individuals and species by more sophisticated individuals and species,
through the general impulse of domination and particular forms of manipulation
that the dominators develop. Changes that are imposed upon the less
sophisticated limit and control their open-ended interactions, and
so inhibit or even prevent their free exploration of possibility. Whereas
open-ended interactions enable evolution, controlled interactions undermine
the original purpose of created life and lead to organic degradation
and experiential devolution... This general principle is strikingly
demonstrated in the case of genetic manipulation of one race by another...
But those who love nature value what it is and offers: the freedom
to explore possibility through the evolution of created form. All who
elect to transmute to live in unity will open and integrate the constitutive
codes of all their forms... When closed genes open, everything that
was impossible becomes possible. When closed genes open, contempt dissolves
and love pours in... When closed genes open, the creature knows and
feels itself as God.
